Anyone else watching the live stream coverage of Hot Rod Drag week? Probably the best background work noise I have ever had. If your not watching the stream can be found here: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

It's great when the camera is close to the cars while they are setting up and you get to listen to some nice lumpy idle then every now and again some WOT action.

Love this stuff. So much more fun to watch than pro drag racing. Time to go build a drag car.

Its killing me right now. I am currently looking at falcons for a commuter car, and now I'm trying to figure out if I can afford to drop a small block motor in one as well has DD it... lol. I was originally just going to enjoy the l6.

Easy solution is to "enjoy" the 6 for a year and save up for a nice small block. Unfortunately the fords a a bit pricier than the GM motors but such is life.
You could also go the cheap option and put a 5.4 or dirt cheap 4.6 junk yard mod motor in there.
Ive been looking at some 4th gen impalas lately. too many muscle car options though, a tad over whelming.

My current plan is to enjoy the six for a bit and then go from there when I can. Instead of a small block, I am thinking of getting one of the Ford DOHC 4.0l inline 6's from Australia. I can get the same power as a small block, keep the inline 6 motif and maybe some semi-balance of gas mileage. That and it will be a wicked conversation starter.

Love odd ball conversions. Sounds like a good plan to me.
